Monthly Newsletter = April 2009 =

Dear All

We are a few weeks away from the completion of our first academic year. This has been an exciting ride! As we face more challenges in the future, we are certainly grateful to the divine intervention of God with all the blessings received this year from a successful WASC visit to the representation of Guam at the National Mock Trial Competition in Atlanta, Georgia, and the upcoming graduation of our first class of 2009.

Monthly Recap

Dr. John Collins visited our campus on April 1, 2009 to fulfill our affiliation requirement with WASC. The official report is expected in June 2009.

Third quarter academic certificates were awarded to 57% of our student body (Principal and President Awards) on April 17, 2009.

Sophomores, juniors and seniors were on a hike and spiritual retreat on April 24 and 25. This was an opportunity to build long lasting friendship, to provide community service and to engage in prayers.

Student Life

The freshmen class visited Naval Station on April 24, 2009 on a field trip that combined history and environmental biology classes.

St. Thomas Aquinas Youth Choir continues to shine at the Cathedral-Basilica on Sundays at 11:30 am. Please support our youth.

Students from the Gardening Club are harvesting organic tomatoes, peppers, eggplants and okra.
The Student’s newsletter, Pluma, is available on the school website at www.staguam.com.
